Professor Dong Weiliang

Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, Department of Bioengineering, Nanjing Tech University; Selected for the National Ten-Thousand Talents Program; Deputy Director of the Key Laboratory for Biocatalytic Depolymerization and Recycling of Waste Plastics, China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation

 

A foundational scholar in the field of plastic biodegradation in China. In the past five years, he has presided over 15 research projects including the National Key R&D Program and National Natural Science Foundation of China, accounting for more than half of all domestic projects in this field, enjoying high influence and academic authority.

 

As the first or corresponding author, he has published over 90 papers in authoritative journals of biochemical engineering and obtained 16 authorized Chinese invention patents. His research achievements have won the Second Prize of Technical Invention Award from China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, the First Science and Technology Award of Jiangsu Energy Research Association, the Second Science and Technology Innovation Award of Jiangsu Biotechnology Association, and other honors.
